Thermal printer

!
Heat-sensitive paper is subject to ageing and the
print fades after a few months. Always make a copy
if a print-out is to be kept for longer periods.

Remote control

The symbols/key assignment are described in the
operating instructions 1 689 989 338.

WLAN module

Using the built-in WLAN module, the BEA 750 can be
incorporated into an existing network, for instance,
in order to have access to a network printer or to
exchange data.
i
Further information on networking of BEA 750 is
available in the online Help.

Coarse filter

The coarse filters remove particles and aerosols from
the measurement gas. Particles are solids such as dust
and soot. Aerosols are minute droplets of liquid. These
may be deposited in the gas path and the measurement
chambers and form coatings. Ensure regular filter
replacement to prevent damage to the BEA 750.
Coarse filter GF1
The coarse filter GF1 removes the coarsest particles
from the gas flow. It should therefore be replaced most
frequently. In the event of severe contamination (Fault
message: Poor flow), the coarse filter is always to be
replaced (also applies to HC residue). Depending on
the rate of use of the BEA 750, the filter should be
replaced roughly once a week.
Coarse filter GF2
The coarse filter GF2 removes further particles and
aerosols from the gas flow. The greater the degree of
contamination of this coarse filter, the smaller the pore
size and the better the filter action. The water in the
exhaust gas soon causes the filter to become wet. This
moisture washes the aerosols out of the gas flow and
makes for even better particulate filtration.
i
A wet coarse filter is therefore desirable!
In the event of severe contamination (Fault message:
Poor flow), the filter is always to be replaced (also
applies to HC residue). Depending on the rate of use of
the BEA 750, the filter should be replaced roughly once
a month to once a year.
Coarse filter GF3 (pump filter)
The coarse filter GF3 is designed to protect the pumps.
The coarse filter has to be replaced once a year at
most. Here, the filter action of a wet coarse filter is also
far superior to that of a dry coarse filter.
