    Improper usage of this device can cause injury to the rider or operator. The Helix must only be operated as described in this manual. Do not modify the Helix or any of its components unless you are a Certified Mobile Stairlift Technician, as modifications can result in unpredictable performance and result in injury to the rider or operator.

    1.2 General Description / Intended Use The Mobile Stairlift Helix is intended as a transport device for a human occupant in a seated position to be taken up or down flights of stairs. The occupant should be secured in the chair by restraints for their safety and the safety of the operator.
