Trouble Shooting

Problem
The compressor makes a
buzzing noise
Ice full indicator light on but
basket is not full
Water low indicator is on
but plenty of water in the
tank
Power light does not come
on
Water low and ice full
indicators flash
simultaneously
Possible cause
Low voltage
Room temperature is too
low
Delay in sensor
Sensor is defective
Sensor is defective
Unit is not plugged properly
Burnt fuse on the PCB
Synchronous motor is
detected
Ice cubes are sticking
together and cannot drop
from the evaporator

Solution
Turn off the icemaker.
Make sure the voltage is normal
and restart.
Try removing the ice basket and
replace
If ice basket was just emptied or
when ice drops directly onto the
sensor, unit may be triggered to
sense basket is full. Wait a couple
minutes for sensor to pick up
correct temperature. Or you can
place your fingertips around the
sensor to speed up the process.

Check and ensure the unit is
properly plugged
Replace fuse
Contact Sunpentown
Unplug unit and transfer ice in
bucket to another freezer. Wait for
ice to melt from evaporator.
Connect power and restart unit. It
is recommended to select a
smaller ice size.
