OPERATING PROBLEMS
The camera does not work
Cause
Power is off
Batteries not loaded

Battery power is low
Battery performance is poor
due to cold temperatures

The flash does not fire
Cause
Bright subject
Sequence mode, Movie
mode, or Panorama mode
is set
The monitor is hard to see
Cause
Brightness is incorrectly
set
In sunlight

Remedy
Open the lens barrier and turn
the camera on.
Reload the batteries correctly.
Load new batteries.
Bring batteries to room
temperature before use.
Close lens barrier, then reopen.
The camera will not function
while connected to a PC.
Remove batteries from the
camera and let the camera dry.
Remedy
If you want to forcibly fire the
flash, set to Flash On mode.
Flash does not fire in Sequence
mode, Movie mode, or Panorama
mode.
Remedy
Adjust the brightness.
Block the sunlight with your hand.
