9. Tighten bolts securely.
1. Remove one 3/ " nut, lockwasher, and flatwash-
erfrom "EYE" bolt assembly. Leave remaining 3/ "
Ins and flatwasher on "EYE" bolt about half way up
head.
2. Install " E Y E " bolt through upper hole on left hand
3 Install the 3/8" nut, lockwasher and flat washer
removed in Step 1 on "EYE" bolt and tighten securely.
6. Place yoke end of crank rod around universal joint,
fling up openings. Insert clevis pin through assembly
and secure with cotter pin. Spread ends of cotter pin

7. Check chute crank rod assembly for proper oper-
aion. Rotate chute crank fully clockwise and fully
oounter-clock-wise. Discharge chute should rotate ful-

the left and fully to the right without the chute crank
binding.

SKID HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Tlis snowblower is equipped with two height adjust
skids, secured to the outside of the auger housing.
Thwe elevate the front of the snowblower.
For packing purposes, the height skids (figure 1B) are
i1 shipping position and must be adjusted before oper-
When removing snow from a hard surface area such
as a paved driveway or walk, adjust the skids up to
ting the front of the snowblower down.
When removing snow from rock or uneven construc-
bn, raise the front of the snowblower by moving the
skids down. This will help to prevent rocks and other
debris from being picked up and thrown by the
algae
To acfiust skids, proceed as follows:
1. Place a block (equal to height from ground de-
sired) under scraper bar near but not under skid.
2. Loosen skid mounting nuts (Figure 4) and push
the skid down until it touches the ground. Re-
tighten mounting nuts.
3. Set skid on other side at same height. NOTE: Be
sure that snowblower is set at same height on
both sides.
