Connecting Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector to the Connector

Tighten the Ethernet Gland nut.

Connect the Ethernet cable to the WLAN Security Switch (WSS).
10 Unscrew the Ethernet Gland nut on the right side of the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector.
11 Remove the rubber washers from the Ethernet Gland.
12 Slide the Ethernet Gland nut onto the Ethernet cable.
Make sure the threaded end is facing the Ethernet cable connector on the enclosure.
13 Slide the rubber washers onto the Ethernet cable.
14 Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Lightning Protector connector labeled EQUIP.
15 Tighten the Ethernet Gland nut.
16 Replace the cover of the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector.
17 Mount the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector with the appropriate hardware available in the kit.

18 Ground Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector by attaching Ground cable to Ground lug according to local
electric code

Terminal Strip Connection

You can use terminal strips if you do not have RJ 45 jack connectors.
To use Terminal Strip perform the following steps:

Install the data cable through the strain relief.
