    Alarm, Trouble or Restore conditions. If left alone, the alarms will process as soon as the data link is restored. If the SYSTEM 3505 was asleep prior to the link fault, it will go back to sleep when the link restores, providing you did not press the CLEAR key.

  • Page 16 BT unit. BT has an existing Alarm, Trouble, BAT, AC or Tamper condition. Although the Monaco system provides the SYSTEM 3505 with an ongoing status of the condition at the BT panel, you can always interrogate a BT unit to make sure the information presented at the SYSTEM 3505 is correct.

    KEY SELECT key above the green AC POWER LED. Look for the soft key labeled “MONACO DLY TEST”. You should activate the daily test following either a restart of the SYSTEM 3505, or if the data line between the SYSTEM 3505 and the Monaco D-5000 has been disconnected for a period of time.

    SYSTEM 3505 or uploaded from the WIN3505 utility. To add a BT into the SYSTEM 3505, you need to add a “generic” text message for the desired BT number. A “generic” text message is one that the account number ends in a “-“.

    2.3 COMMUNICATING via a REPEATER To advise the SYSTEM 3505 that a BT is communicated to via a repeater, you need to add the capitol letters “RPTR” in the last four text locations of the BT generic message. I.e. for BT #123 you would add the RPTR, when adding or changing the text message for account 123-, in the last four character locations of page 1 of the generic message.

    3 TROUBLE REPORTING 3.1 24 HOUR TROUBLE REPORT The SYSTEM 3505, per the NFPA requirement, will print out an automatic Trouble report once each 24 hour period. You can control the time that this report is printed via the SET menu.

    Entering 1 8 then pressing FUNC will printout the BT units in ZID order installed in the SYSTEM 3505. Selecting 00, 01, 02 or 03 then pressing FUNC will put the SYSTEM 3505 in the sleep mode, as well as update the sleep soft key to the last selected FUNC.

    3.4 BT & ZID PRINTOUTS The SYSTEM 3505 provides a means to print the installed BT list as well as the ZID’s installed. To print the BT units installed, enter 1 7 on the keypad, then press the FUNC key.
