POWER SUPPLY
MAINS VOLTAGE
Check that the mains voltage in your home is the same as that of the appliance. Insert the PLUG on the
POWER CABLE into a normal power socket. 12:00 will then appear on the clock's LCD display.
SETTING THE TIME
Once the plug has been inserted into the socket, hold the TIME SET button (20) down with one finger,
and with a second finger press HOUR SET (13) and MINUTE SET (15) one or more times. Release the
buttons once you have set the correct time. You can also hold HOUR SET (13) and MINUTE SET (15)
down to get to the desired time quickly.
SETTING THE ALARM
Hold the ALARM SET button (11) down, until ¿ appears on the LCD display. The press the buttons for
HOUR SET (13) and MINUTE SET (15) to reach the desired time. Press the ALARM SET button to
check the set time.
ACTIVATING THE ALARM
Set the alarm time according to the above instructions and then switch the AUTO/ON/OFF switch (25) to
ON or AUTO, and set the CD/RADIO/BUZZER function switch (22) to BUZZER.
At the set time the alarm clock will activate itself automatically. Press the SNOOZE button (8) to temporarily
deactivate the alarm for an extra 9 minutes' sleep. The buzzer will sound automatically after 9 minutes.
To deactivate the alarm entirely, set the AUTO/ON/OFF (25) switch to OFF.
WAKING UP TO MUSIC (CD PLAYER OR RADIO)
1.Set the desired alarm time as described above in SETTING THE ALARM.
2.Set the CD/RADIO/BUZZER button (22) to CD or RADIO.
3.Tune in to the desired station as described in OPERATING THE RADIO. Or start to play a CD as
described in OPERATING THE CD PLAYER.
4.Set the AUTO/ON/OFF button (25) to AUTO.
The RADIO or CD PLAYER will automatically switch on at the set time. Press the SNOOZE button
(8) to temporarily interrupt the music for an extra 9 minutes' sleep.
5.Set the AUTO/ON/OFF (25) switch to OFF to switch off the music.
SNOOZE FUNCTION (AUTOMATIC DEACTIVATION)
You can set the radio or CD player to switch itself off after 59 minutes or 1 hour and 59 minutes should
you wish to sleep on. Switch on the radio or CD player and simultaneously press the SLEEP button (9)
and the TIME SET button (20), then press the HOUR SET (13) button to set the lying-in period to either
59 minutes or 1 hour and 59 minutes. Finally, set the AUTO/ON/OFF button (25) to AUTO.
After 59 minutes (or 1 hour and 9 minutes) the radio or CD player will switch itself off automatically.
If you wish to continue sleeping, press the SLEEP button (9) again.
OPERATING THE RADIO
1. Set the AUTO/ON/OFF button (25) to ON.
2. Set the function switch to RADIO.
3. Use the BAND SELECTOR function button (24) to select a FREQUENCY BAND.
4. Adjust the TUNING CONTROL (6) to find the desired station.
5. Adjust the VOLUME CONTROL (1) to set the desired volume.
6. Fully extend the FM TELESCOPIC ANTENNA (7) move it around, or turn the entire
appliance, to find the best radio reception.
HEADPHONE SOCKET
Use this socket to listen to the radio or CD player without disturbing others. Connect the
3.5 mm headphone/earphone plug (not included) to the HEADPHONE SOCKET (23) and
adjust the VOLUME CONTROL (1) to set the desired volume. The built-in speakers are
automatically deactivated during headphone use.
