OPERATING THE CD PLAYER
HANDLING CDS
Although CDs are not greatly affected by dust, dirt or scratches, you should always treat them with the
same care as old-fashioned analogue vinyl records. Protect CDs from scratches, dirt, and dust and so on.
We recommend that you return CDs to their original boxes when not in use.
HOLD CDS THIS WAY ONLY
FROM THE CENTRE TO THE EDGE
KEEP AWAY FROM HEAT
Take the following precautions as CDs can be damaged by excess dirt, scratches and warping. The CD
will then skip or malfunction during playback. Never touch the playing surface on a CD. Always hold
them by the edge.
Keep CDs in their boxes. Store them with the label facing upwards in the box and carefully press them
down into the box.
Keep CDs away from:
Central heating and places with high temperatures or high dust levels.
Never use a ballpoint pen to write on a CD label, and never stick labels on the CD.
Use a soft cloth to wipe away fingerprints and dust from the CD surface.
Bear in mind the following:
- Always wipe straight from the middle out to the edge of the CD.
- Never clean in a circular motion.
- Never use vinyl record detergent, antistatic cloths, benzine, thinner or other solvents
Note:
