Preparation

Pedals

As with a grand piano, this piano features three
pedals. These pedals produce the following e ects.
Damper pedal (right pedal)
Depressing this pedal sustains the sound aft f f er one's hands have been lift f f ed from the keyboard – greatly
enriching the piano sound, while also assisting smooth "legato" passages.
The sustain pedal is capable of responding to half pedaling.
Sostenuto pedal (centre pedal)
Depressing this pedal aft f f er playing the keyboard and before releasing the keys, sustains the sound of only those
notes that were played at that moment. Any keys that are subsequently played aft f f er the sostenuto pedal is
depressed will not be sustained.
Soft f f pedal (left f f pedal)
Depressing this pedal soft f f ens the sound, reducing its volume. When the Jazz Organ sound is selected, the soft f f
pedal is also used to alternate the speed of the rotary simulation between "Slow" and "Fast" e ect modes.
CHECK
Depending on the sound, the e ect may be di cult to notice.
Adjustor Bolt
An adjustor bolt is attached to the pedal board.
Make sure to turn the adjustor bolt until it makes
full contact with the oor. r r The pedal board may be
damaged if the adjustor bolt is not in full contact
with the oor or is too strongly pressed against the
oor. r r
Grand Feel Pedal System
This digital piano features the Grand Feel Pedal System, which replicates the sustain, soft f f , and sostenuto pedal
weighting of an SK-EX Concert Grand piano.
