Position the motor side of the saw over the
largest part of the item not to be sawn off .
Hold the saw with both handles and cut in a
straight line. The saw line must be lined up
with the 0° mark on the guide (12) if you are
making a vertical cut.
The blade guard (13) will open automatically
when the blade comes in contact with the
item.
Do not force the saw sideways.
Release the on/off button immediately if
the blade jams in the workpiece. If the blade
gets stuck, it may cause the saw to kick back
violently towards the user.
Check that the blade guard closes when the
saw is lifted off the item.
Release the on/off button to stop the saw.
It takes a few seconds before the blade is
completely stationary.

Replacing the blade

Release the depth adjustment knob (17) and
raise the saw as far as possible.
Open the blade guard (13) using the knob
(16), and fasten it in the open position.
Lock the saw blade by holding the spindle
lock (4) in. Turn the blade slightly if necessary
until the spindle lock engages.
Loosen the lock screw (15) using the Allen
key provided and unscrew the lock screw. Lift
off the outer � ange.
Remove the saw blade (14) and the inner
� ange.
Do not dispose of the old blade in your
domestic refuse. Dispose of it correctly in
accordance with local guidelines.
Clean any � lings and sawdust from the
spindle and � anges.
Fit the inner � ange, the new blade, the outer
� ange and the lock screw. Check that the
direction speci� ed on the blade matches the
direction of rotation of the motor.
Release the blade guard.

Cleaning and maintenance

Wipe the saw using a well-wrung cloth as
required, and always keep the surface and
vent holes free of dirt.
Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents, as they may attack the plastic parts
of the saw.
