A/D Conversion
absolute address

the x and y pixel coordinates in a pixel map using
global coordinates in a locally cropped area of a
larger image .
a non-linear function used in analog signal
processing.
the ratio of width to height in an image. The Nikon

resolutions for X and Y axes, and thus alter the
aspect ratio, or 'stretch' the image in a vertical or
horizontal direction.

light. An "analog" is a simile or representation of

an automated mode in the scanner firmware to
provide the best gradation tables for the reproduction
of an image.
