Checklist before your first drive
- Did you read through the Quick Starter Guide/ Manual?
- Licence plate installed?
- Battery charged and stowed in the battery compartment?
- Mirrors mounted and set correctly?
- Checked the tyres for the correct pressure: 2.2 bar front, 2.6 bar rear?
- Do all signalisation and lighting systems work properly?
- Checked the brake system for proper function – confirmed the brake pressure point?
- Helmet and protective clothing on?
- Unused battery slots closed using the covering cap?
How to use
- Connect Power Pack with the Charging Unit using a charging cable
- Connect the mains plug to a socket and switch on the charging unit
- Read the charge level on the display
- Start
Press Start/Stop - Recognising the key (Key nearby, not covered)
- Start release
a - "Enter" button on the control pad or
b - Confirm "OK" on the touch screen - Brake check – applying both brakes
- Switching the driving mode
a – via the display or
b – via the control pad + Enter
– in the menu, select the driving mode and switch
Fold up the main stand – ready to go!
Safety instructions
Carefully use the gas handle and brakes, especially while you're becoming acquainted with vehicle operation. The quickest way to stop is by simultaneously applying both brakes.
Driving in wet/slippery conditions – slip hazard!

The vehicle cannot accelerate if the side stands are folded out
Operation
Switch Unit Left
- Full beam – on/off Anti-glare light – permanently active
- Turn signal switch – pull to the left or the right
- Switch off – tap
Switch Unit Right
- Emergency-Off switch – motor stop + warning lights automatically switch on
- Control pad + enter – operation on the display
- Cruise control

- Speed display
- warning lights
- Battery level/consumption
- Driving Mode
- Switching off:
1st Press Start/Stop
- Hold until you hear the locking sound

- Afterwards, the handlebar lock automatically engages when twisting the handlebar to the left.

- Close Power Pack sockets not in use with the covering cap
- Loading flap at the front of the scooter closed (does not apply to the 54 inspire model)
Parking
Place the vehicle on solid ground using the main stand
LAW & LEGAL
The Kumpan 54i models are road vehicles – in other words, they are exclusively approved for use on public roads. Your Kumpan is a quiet vehicle. You must therefore be particularly careful about other road users noticing you.
For safe and carefree driving:
- Drive carefully and considerately
- Observe the applicable road laws
- Use an approved helmet
- Only drive with appropriate insurance cover and
- only with a driver's licence valid for the vehicle class
The Kumpan models with max. speeds of 25/45 km/h may not be used to drive on motorways and express ways.
