<DV RPR Envelope Adjustment>
11. Confirm that R66: MONI KINDSEL is selected to
ENV.
12. Set the R67: MONI CHSEL to RPR
13. Set the R71: TRACKING MOD-AUTO_R
14. Wait until Envelope level is maximized.
15. Adjust R72: TRACKING VAL so that Envelope
level is maximized.
16. Adjust R07: MAGR1, R08:MAGR2 so that RF
envelope level on TP5101 meet the SPEC.
(A=0.7VDC ± 0.1VDC: refer to figure 3-3-1.)
17. Press menu button 4 times after pressing set
button.

<<DVCPRO 50M Adjustment(PB)>>
1.
Open B00 RF ADJUST in the Service Menu.
2.
Open P00 DVCPRO50M ADJUST in the Service
Menu.
3.
Open P-2 PB ADJUST in the Service Menu.
<Phase Compensation Adjustment>
1.
Playback the DVCPRO Alignment Tape.
2.
Set the P60: VITERBI MODE to off.
3.
Set the P62: AEQ MODE to off.
4.
Set the P73: ATF HEAD to PB.
5.
Adjust P01: PHS L1 and P02: PHS L2 so that
the error rate is at the minimum level.
6.
Adjust P05: PHS R1 and P06: PHS R2 so that
the error rate is at the minimum level.
7.
Press the SET button.
(Reference)
Increase the adjustment value until error rate
becomes worst, then decrease it to make the error
better. Error rate becomes better as the value is
decreased, but it can not be improved after passing a
certain point (point A). Find this point (adjustment
value) and set the adjustment value to following value.
Final adjustment value
= Adjustment value at point A - 10
<Confirmation of error rate>
1.
Set the P60: VITERBI MODE to AUTO.
2.
Set the P62: AEQ MODE to ON.
3.
Set the P70: ERROR MODE to SLOW.
4.
Set the P73: ATFHEAD to PB.
5.
Confirm that Error rate of Video & Audio meets
the SPEC..(Refer to page ELE-18.)
6.
If it is out of SPEC., adjust the error rate again.
<AEQ Tap Coefficient Setting>
1.
Confirm that the P60: VITERBI MODE is set to
AUTO.
2.
Confirm that the P62: AEQ MODE is set to ON.
3.
Confirm that the P67: MONICHSEL is set to OFF
AEQ Tap Coefficient Setting can not be excuted if
this menu is not set to OFF.
4.
Select P53: IC READ and change the setting
from "OFF" to "SINGLE".
5.
Press the SET button so that the value of P29-52
is automatically set. (Confirm that the the value of
P29-52 is changed from default value)
6.
Change the setting of P53: ICREAD from
"SINGLE" to "OFF" and press the "SET"
button.
<<DVCPRO50M ADJUST(RP)>>
1.
Open B00 RF ADJUST in the Service Menu.
2.
Open P00 DVCPRO50M ADJUST in the Service
Menu.
3.
Open P-3 RP ADJUST in the Service Menu.
<Phase Compensation Adjustment>
1.

Set the P60: VITERBI MODE to off.
3.
Set the P62: AEQ MODE to off.
4.
Set the P73: ATF HEAD to RP.
5.

Adjust P05: PHS R1 and P06: PHS R2 so that
the error rate is at the minimum level.
7.
Press the SET button.
