V100 PCTool – Peer-to-Peer
Peer-to-Peer calling requires the Telephone Book. These calls are made directly from
the caller to the receiver via an IP address rather than through the VoIP provider. Peer-
to-Peer calls can be achieved through the LAN or the internet. The procedure below
will show the LAN setup.
If you have a switch:
1. Install the PCTool software on the PC.
2. Connect the V100s and your PC to your switch via the Ethernet cable. Make sure the
WAN LED on the V100s is lit.
3. Double click on the PCTool icon on the desktop.
4. Configure each V100 accordingly. Please refer to below examples.
5. Once done, connect an analogue phone to each V100.
If you do not have a switch:
1. Install the PCTool software on the PC.
2. Connect the V100 to your PC one by one via the Ethernet cable. Make sure the WAN
LED on the V100s is lit.
3. Double click on the PCTool icon on the desktop.
4. Configure each V100 accordingly. Please refer to below examples.
5. Once done, connect an analogue phone to each V100.
