Step 8
The white wire on the Interface Cable in the Interface Cable IC-BMW2
package needs to be connected to the data bus wire. The only
location is Pin 9 as shown in Diagram 1. Cut off the round metal pin
at the end of the wire and connect the white wire to the data bus
wire in the stereo's harness.
Step 9
Insert the single plug from the
Interface Cable in the Interface Cable
IC-BMW2 package into the matching
port on the back of the factory stereo.
Plug the other two small ends into
the matching ports on the Interface
Module IM-BMW1.
Though there is only one way to push
the connectors in, don't force them. Double check that you have
the correct Interface Cable for your installation by reviewing
the in-store iCruze Factory•Linx Selection Guide, by visiting iPodiCruze.
com or by calling iCruze Customer Support at 415-840-2000, Monday
through Friday, 9am-5pm (PT).

OPERATION NOTES

All iCruze functions are supported for your car unless your factory
stereo does not have FF, RW or REPEAT buttons. iCruze remembers
where it is when the ignition or radio is turned off and will begin
play from where you left off, but most factory stereos will return
the display to 1-1. When the iPod changes tracks or discs, the display
will correct itself. You can also manually correct the display by briefly
pressing FF or RW, changing tracks or discs, or switching to FM and
then back to iCruze.
