Set an administrator password

You can set the administrator password to prevent unauthorized access to the setup utility.
注意：If you forget the administrator password, a Lenovo authorized service personnel cannot reset your password.
You must take your computer to a Lenovo authorized service personnel to have the system board replaced. Proof of
purchase is required and a fee will be charged for parts and service.
1. Enter the setup utility.
2. Select Security ➙ Set Administrator Password and press Enter.
3. Enter a password string that contains only letters and numbers and then press Enter.
4. Enter the password again and press Enter.
5. Select Exit ➙ Exit Saving Changes.
Next time you turn on the computer, you should enter the administrator password to enter the setup utility.
管理者パスワードの変更または削除
管理者のみが、管理者パスワードを変更または削除できます。
1. Setup Utility に入ります。
2. 「Security」 ➙ 「Set Administrator Password」を選択し、Enter キーを押します。
3. 現在のパスワードを入力します。
4. 新しいパスワードを「Enter New Password」フィールドに入力します。
5. 「Confirm New Password」フィールドに新しいパスワードを再度入力します。
注：パスワードを削除する場合は、両方のフィールドを空白のままにして、Enter キーを 2 回押し
ます。
6. 「Exit」 ➙ 「Exit Saving Changes」を選択します。
管理者パスワードを削除すると、ユーザー・パスワードも削除されます。

Set a user password

You must set the administrator password before you can set the user password. The system administrator might need to
set a user password so that other users can access the computer.
1. Enter the setup utility.
2. Select Security ➙ Set User Password and press Enter.
3. Enter a password string that contains only letters and numbers and then press Enter.
注：The user password should be different from the administrator password.
4. Enter the password again and press Enter.
