GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Attention! Read all safety instructions and warnings. Failure to follow the instructions may result in serious injury. The term power tool used in the safety
instructions refers to tools that are powered by electricity (corded) or battery (cordless). Keep all safety instructions for future reference.
Workplace safety
• Keep your workplace clean and well lit. Messy or dark areas can cause injuries.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as areas with flammable materials, gases or powders. Power tools can cause sparks and fire.
• Keep children and other people away while operating this tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
• Power tools should match the socket. Never modify the plug. Do not use adapters on grounded power tools. Intact plugs and sockets which match will
reduce the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid contact with grounded objects, such as refrigerator pipes, etc. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
• Do not expose the machine to rain or wet conditions. Introducing water into a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not use the cord to carry the machine or to unplug it from the wall outlet. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces, oil, sharp objects or moving parts.
Loose or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
• When using a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using a suitable cord for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
• If operating a power tool in a damp area cannot be avoided, use a short-circuit fuse for protection. Use of this fuse reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
• Pay attention to your work and use common sense when using power tools. Do not use the machine when you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention during operation can cause serious injury.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear protective goggles. Protective equipment such as dust masks, protective footwear, helmets or earplugs
used in appropriate conditions reduce the risk of injury.
• Avoid accidental starting. Make sure the switch is in the Off position before plugging the machine in and before lifting or carrying the tool. Carrying the tool
with your finger on the switch can cause accidents.
• Remove all adjustment keys from the tool before operating it. A wrench can be ejected and cause serious injury.
• Do not stretch. Keep a firm footing and balance at all times. This allows you to have better control of your tool at all times.
• Dress appropriately. Do not wear baggy clothes and jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts of the tool. Loose clothing,
jewellery and long hair can get caught in the moving parts of the tool.
• If your tool includes a connection to a dust extraction system, make sure you have connected it and use it properly. Using this system can reduce the risks
associated with dust.
Tool use and maintenance
• Do not overload the machine. Use the right tool for the right job. The right tool will do the job more efficiently and more safely at the rate for which it was
designed.
• Do not use the machine if the switch does not work. Any machine that cannot be controlled is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Unplug the machine before making adjustments, changing parts and before storage. This reduces the risk of accidental starting.
• Keep the machines out of the reach of children and do not allow people who do not know these instructions to operate them. Power tools are dangerous
in the hands of persons who do not have the proper knowledge.
• Maintain power tools. Check for problems with moving parts, broken parts and any other condition that may affect the way the machine operates. If the
tool is damaged it should be taken to an authorized service center for repair. Many accidents can result from a poorly maintained tool.
• Keep the cutting attachment sharp. A cutting attachment that is sharp is less likely to jam and easier to check.
• Use the tools, accessories and spare parts according to these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the task you want to perform.
Using the tool for operations other than those for which it was designed may cause dangerous situations.
Service
• Give your tools to an authorised technician for service and repairs using only genuine spare parts. This will ensure that the safety of the tool is maintained.
