welding. Selections between LOW and HIGH are suitable for most of indoor and
outdoor welding operations.
Caution!
Always keep the sensors (15) and the solar cells (13) free and clean!
Changing the Batteries
When the battery warning light (11) lights up, the batteries in the device should
be changed.
To change the batteries, slide the battery compartment cover (7) off the filter
cassette to the left. Insert two LR03 (AAA) 1.5 V batteries or replace the weak
batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity (illustration in the battery
compartment). Then slide the battery compartment cover back on.
Replace the outer Cover Plate (16)
Make sure that both cover plates are always
clean.
Replace the outer cover plate immediately if it is
cracked or scratched.
1. To change the outer cover plate (2), insert a
finger or a blunt object into the recess in the
middle and carefully lever the plate out of the
holders.
2. To reinsert the new pane, hook it in on one
side and press the pane, which has been slightly bent outwards, into the
holders on the opposite side until it clicks into place visibly and audibly.
Replace the inner Cover Plate (9)
Make sure that the inner cover plate is not uneven. Replace the inner cover
plate immediately if it is damaged.
1. To replace the inner cover plate (6), insert a blunt object into the recess in
the middle, as described in the chapter "Replacing the outer cover plate",
and lever off the inner cover plate.
2. To reinsert it, hook the cover plate into one side and press the plate, which
has been slightly bent outwards, into the holders on the opposite side until it
clicks into place visibly and audibly.
Cleaning and Storage
 Only clean the welding helmet with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use any
aggressive cleaning substances.
 Do not immerse the welding helmet in liquids.
 Always keep the solar cell clean with a clean, lint-free cloth.
