conference call During a call:
Dial next number, press U, press
the Link key.
transfer a call During a call:
M > Transfer, dial transfer number,
press U
attach a phone Dial an area code or prefix for a
number phonebook number, then:
M > Attach Number
speed dial Speed dial a phonebook entry:
Enter speed dial number, press #,
press U.
To add a phonebook entry, see page 58.
Tip: If you forget your friend's speed dial
number, press M > n Phonebook,
highlight his or her entry and press the
View key.

DTMF tones Activate DTMF tones:
M > w Settings > Initial Setup > DTMF
To send DTMF tones during a call, just
press number keys or highlight a number
in the phonebook or recent calls lists and
press M > Send Tones.

add new entry M > n Phonebook
M > New > Phone Number or Email Address
Shortcut: Enter a phone number in the
home screen, then press the Store key to
create an entry for that number.
Tip: 1 phone is not enough for some
people. When creating a phonebook
entry, select More to store another
number for the same Name.
dial number Call a number stored in the phonebook:
M > n Phonebook, highlight the
phonebook entry, press U
Shortcut: In the phonebook, press a
keypad key 1 or more times to jump to
entries that begin with the key's letters.

fixed dial When you turn on fixed dialling,
you can call only numbers stored in
the fixed dial list.
Turn fixed dialling on or off:
M > w Settings > Security > Fixed Dial
Use the fixed dial list:
M > É Tools > Dialling services > Fixed Dial
feature
record a voice When creating a phonebook entry,
name highlight Voice Name and press the Record
key. Press and release the voice key and
say the entry's name (within 2 seconds).
When prompted, press and release the
voice key and repeat the name.
Note: The Voice Name option is not
available for entries stored on the SIM
card.
voice dial Voice dial a number stored in the
number phonebook:
Press and release the voice key, then
say the entry's name (within 2 seconds).
set ringer ID Assign a ring alert (ringer ID) to an entry:

M > n Phonebook > entry
M > Edit > Ringer ID > ringer name
Note: The Ringer ID option is not available
for entries stored on the SIM card.
Activate ringer IDs:
M > w Settings > Ring Styles > style Detail
