POWERING ON

Press
until a set of icons and squares
appears on your display. (For a description of
the icons, see page 5.) Then the message
"Please Wait" displays while the unit registers
on the system.
The LED indicator located above the
button shows the in-service states of
your portable phone. See the following table.

POWERING OFF

Press and hold
for one second until you see the message
"Powering Off".

Phone Status
Registering—this is the first state after you
turn on the unit.
No service—the unit cannot register on
the system. The unit continues to attempt
registration approximately every two
minutes as long as the unit is powered on.
In service—the LED indicator flashes
green and the Phone Ready message
displays.
You can now place and receive Phone,
Group, and Private calls.
In use—-the unit is in the process of
placing or receiving a call.
