Setting the tuner mode

You can change the tuner channel interval setting
depending on the area where you use this unit.

Display the <Tuner Mode> screen.
On the source control screen:

Select the area where you use this unit.
Tuner Mode
Area Setting
US
SA
Europe
[US] (initial) Select this when using this unit in
North/Central/South America. FM
and AM intervals are set to 200 kHz
and 10 kHz respectively.
[SA]
Select this when using this unit in
South American countries where the
FM interval is 50 kHz and AM interval
is 10 kHz.
[Europe]
Select this when using this unit
in any other areas. FM and AM
intervals are set to 50 kHz and 9 kHz
respectively.

Presetting stations in the memory

You can preset five stations each for AM and FM1/
FM2/FM3.
Automatic presetting — SSM (Strong-
station Sequential Memory) (For FM only)

Select the FM band (1 – 3)
On the source control screen:
FM1
FM3

Start SSM.
(Hold)
The local stations with the strongest signals are found
and stored automatically.
Manual presetting

Select the band, and then tune in to a
station you want to preset.
On the source control screen:
FM1
FM3
2
Select a preset number to store into.

The station selected in step 1 is stored into the
preset number [P1] to [P5] you have selected.
