INSTALLATION
Physical Installation
Tubing Connections
Risk of damage to pump or other equipment.
• Always provide adequate support to the assembly components and ensure the tubing is never kinked, twisted,
broken, or otherwise damaged.
Drain Hose-to-Reservoir
NOTE: The drain hose varies with the design of the air handler used.
Connect the air handler drain hose to the reservoir inlet:
• Use the supplied 1/2-inch (13 mm) diameter tubing to connect air handler drain hose connec-
tor to reservoir inlet.
• If the air handler drain hose connector is unsuitable for use with the reservoir tubing, cut the
drain hose, fit it to the supplied 14mm, 16mm 18mm adapter and secure with a cable tie, then
fit the other adapter (using the supplied 1/2-inch [13 mm] tubing) to the reservoir inlet tubing.
• If pump is being used for fan coil drip pan condensate drainage, connect the supplied 1/2-inch
(13 mm) tubing to metal drain port and connect tubing directly to reservoir inlet.
Reservoir-to-Pump
NOTE: The reservoir has three outlet ports, one vertical and two horizontal. Ensure that the two
unused outlet ports remain capped.
1. Uncap desired outlet port.
2. Connect the reservoir tubing to the uncapped port and secure with a supplied cable tie.
3. Connect the tubing to the pump intake and secure with a supplied cable tie.
Pump Discharge
Risk of damage to pump or other equipment.
• Always provide adequate support to the assembly components and ensure the tubing is never kinked, twisted,
broken, or otherwise damaged.
• Always reinforce tubing connections with cable ties.
• The pump is supplied with a 1/4-inch (6 mm) outside diameter (OD) tubing adapter. Do not remove the adapter.
• Discharge tubing (not provided) must have a 1/4-inch (6 mm) internal diameter (ID).
• Never extend the tubing more than 33 ft (10m) above the level of the pump or 3 ft (1 m) below the collection res-
ervoir. Positioning the discharge tubing termination more than 3 ft below the reservoir may cause a siphoning
effect and loss of pump priming, resulting in noisy operation and shortened pump life.
1. Connect the discharge tubing to the tubing adapter.
2. Secure tubing with a cable tie or hose clamp.
3. Guide the tubing so that it leads into the nearest gravity-fed drain or along the refrigeration lines.
Vent Tubing
1. Connect the 1/4-inch (6 mm) ID tubing to the reservoir vent port.
2. Route the tubing upward.
• Ensure the free end of the tubing reaches above the highest level of the air handler's drip tray.
3. Securely position the tubing.
