    Product Description In common with all other Katadyn filters, Types MF-7, MF-31 and MF-54 function as filtration and germ reduction systems. They are used to make natural water drinkable without changing the mineral and salt content, without softening water or desalinating sea water.

    Working Principle The Katadyn filter element is based on the operating principle of depth filtration. During this separation process, sediment and microorganisms are retained in the small channels of the ceramic body. The filtration effect is dependent upon the size of the pores and the thickness of the ceramic layer.

  • Page 5: Delivery, Storage, Installation

    Any damage is to be notified to the freight forwarding company immediately upon receipt of the goods. Katadyn accepts no costs for damage incurred during transport. The majority of the Katadyn systems are preassembled. Transport packaging will also include all non- preassembled parts, some individually packed, in accordance with the scope of the supply.

    To ensure that the system functions properly, it is important that the mechanical components be maintained regularly and meticulously by authorized personnel. If a maintenance agreement has been made with a company authorized by Katadyn, all work associated with maintenance must be carried out by the authorized maintenance personnel.

    Microbiological sample taking Sample taking for microbiological analyses may only be carried out by authorized personnel. The corresponding safety precautions are to be observed. The samples must only be taken from the sampling tap E (see appendix 8). A Katadyn Group Brand.

    Re-contamination Disinfect piping system DECOMMISSIONING Katadyn filters can be taken out of operation for extended shut-down periods without any risk and can be re-used later.     1.5 Wirkungsprinzip Das Katadyn Filterelement basiert auf dem Funktionsprinzip der Tiefenfiltration. Bei diesem Separationsprozess werden Sediment und Mikroorganismen in den kleinen Kanälen des Keramikkörpers zurückgehalten. Der Filtrationseffekt ist abhängig von den Porengrössen und der Schichtdicke der Keramik.   • Page 13: Anlieferung, Lagerung, Montage

    Beschädigungen sind unverzüglich nach Erhalt der Ware dem Transportunternehmen zu melden. Katadyn übernimmt keine Kosten für Transportschäden. Die Katadyn Anlagen sind mehrheitlich vormontiert. In der Transportverpackung sind zusätzlich auch alle nicht vormontierten Teile gemäss Lieferumfang, zum Teil in Einzelverpackungen, enthalten.

    Zur Sicherstellung eines störungsfreien Betriebes der Anlage ist eine regelmässig und gewissenhaft durchgeführte Wartung durch autorisiertes Personal ausserordentlich wichtig. Ist ein Wartungsvertrag mit der von Katadyn autorisierten Firma abgeschlossen, so werden alle mit der Wartung zusammenhängenden Arbeiten durch das beauftragte Wartungspersonal durchgeführt.

    Nach erfolgter Reinigung und Kontrolle der Filterelemente wird, gemäss obigem Ablauf, weiterverfahren. 4.6 Mikrobiologische Probeentnahme Probeentnahmen für mikrobiologische Untersuchungen dürfen nur durch autorisiertes Personal, unter Einhaltung der relevanten Sicherheitsbestimmungen, ausgeführt werden.     1.4 Description du produit Comme tous les autres filtres Katadyn, les modèles MF-7, MF-31, et MF-54 sont utilisés pour filtrer l’eau et réduire la présence de germes. Ils rendent l’eau potable sans en changer la teneur en sels minéraux. Ils ne peuvent pas adoucir l’eau ni dessaler l’eau de mer.

    1.5 Fonctionnement Ce filtre Katadyn est basé sur le principe de la filtration sur précouche, un processus au cours duquel les sédiments et les microorganismes sont retenus par les pores en céramique des éléments filtrants. Le niveau de filtration dépend de la taille des pores et de l’épaisseur de la couche de céramique.

    MF-7 doit se trouver à environ 1,20 mètres du sol. Les modèles MF-31 et MF-54 doivent être installés dans une pièce d’une hauteur d’au moins 1,80 mètres, afin de pouvoir ouvrir totalement le couvercle de la cuve et nettoyer facilement les éléments filtrants.

    Pour garantir un fonctionnement sans faille du système, il est extrêmement important que son entretien soit réalisé de manière régulière et consciencieuse par du personnel habilité. Si un contrat d’entretien a été conclu avec une entreprise autorisée par Katadyn, tous les travaux liés à la maintenance sont confiés à du personnel habilité.

    Le prélèvement d’échantillons pour les tests microbiologiques doit être effectué par du personnel habilité, dans le respect des règles de sécurité applicables. Le prélèvement d’échantillons doit être effectué au niveau du robinet d’échantillonnage (E) (voir Annexe 8). A Katadyn Group Brand.
