13. How to replace the hook cover

WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the following
work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
Handling of the material on the sewing machine can be improved by changing the standard hook cover
with the hook cover for the sewing machine without thread trimmer.
* Thread trimming function will be disabled.

Remove hook cover screws ❷ and eccentric roll-

Remove throat plate setscrews ❺ to remove throat

Loosen moving knife base setscrews ❼ to remove

When removing moving knife base ❻ , turn the
handwheel to bring hook ❽ to the position shown
in the figure beforehand.
