OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING If an outside antenna is connected to the product, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Section 810 of the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge product, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge product, connection to grounding electrodes and requirements for grounding electrodes.

    BATTERY INSTALLATION Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device: 1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified. 2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated next to the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device.

    Simply connect it to the “L (Mono)” Audio Input jack, but the sound will be monaural. How do I watch the external unit connected to the Audio/Video Input jacks? Press the TV/AV button so VIDEO1 appears on the screen, then start the external source. Are the cables included? No, the cables are sold separately, visit your local electronics store.

    Follow the connections shown below. With the switch in the “B” position, you can directly tune any nonscrambled channels on your TV. With the switch in the “A” position, tune your TV to the output of the converter/descrambler box (usually channel 3 or 4) and use the converter/descrambler box to tune scrambled channels.

    1. Connect the cable, satellite or incoming antenna to the VHF/UHF IN jack on the rear of the external unit. 2. Connect a 75 ohm coaxial cable from the external unit’s 75 ohm OUT jack to the TV Antenna jack on the rear of the unit.

    ABOUT DISCS The region number for this DVD Player is: See the following page for information regarding region numbers. PLAYABLE DISCS: The following discs can be played back on this DVD player: DISC TYPES: Data on most DVDs is divided into sections called “titles” and then into subsections called “chapters”, each of which is given a title or chapter number.

You may not be able to play back some DVD video discs on this player if they were purchased from outside your geographic area or made for business purposes.     SKIP Press the SKIP (n) button 1 to advance the DVD to the beginning of the next chapter. Press the SKIP (o ) button 2 to move the DVD to the beginning of the previous chapter. SLOW Use this feature to move the DVD in slow motion. During playback, press the SLOW button 1 to move the DVD forward in slow motion speeds of 1/2 ,1/4 , 1/8 , 1/16 (the sound will be muted) and resume normal playback.
