Drive being replaced is the exporting controller for the partition
Verify with customer that data I/O to drive being replaced has halted
*Data I/O to non-affected drives can continue

Replacement drive must be reinstalled into same physical drive slot in chassis,
host applications identify drives by their position in chassis
Prior to inserting replacement drive into library, verify compatibility of
replacement drive sled connector with library drive slot (or compare with drive
being replaced)
o If incompatible, check replacement drive packaging for adapter. If no
adapter shipped, contact Spectra Technical support
Replacement drive must be same LTO generation and host connection type as
drive being replaced
Drive module weighs approx. 15 lb. (7 kg), use care when handling
Ensure host interface cabling is connected to correct port on new drive.

SCSI Drives (legacy): If replacing a SCSI drive, Spectra Logic recommends host
be powered down PRIOR to replacing drive. Also, ensure that SCSI terminators
(if present on drive to be replaced) are transferred to new drive
