4.1
Operation
4.1.1
Hold the unit by the housing and slide the ON/OFF switch up. This turns the camera, lighting, and
monitor on. To adjust the illumination at the tip, turn the control dial on the side of the unit.
4.1.2
Manipulate the shaft toward the area under investigation while viewing the monitor. The shaft can
be manoeuvred and manipulated into more complex paths.
4.2
Mirror
4.2.1
To attach mirrors, screw the mirror onto the end of the tip.

Video Out Port (Fig.3)
4.3.1
The bore scope provides an external video signal via an AV cable. This signal can be utilised by a
compatible monitor or recording device.
WARNING! The handheld monitor unit is not water resistant. The shaft and tip are water resistant.

5. MAINTENANCE
5.1
Battery Replacement
5.1.1
Slide off the battery cover at the base of the handle.
5.1.2
Tilt the battery pack from the bottom of the bore scope housing and remove it.
5.1.3
Remove the old batteries (dispose of batteries according to local authority guidelines) and replace
with 4 x new AA cells, ensure correct polarity - see markings on battery pack.
5.1.4
Relocate the battery pack in the bore scope housing; ensure the correct pack orientation (Fig.2).
5.1.5
Replace the battery cover by sliding back into place.
5.2
Cleaning and Storage
5.2.1
Wipe the bore scope tip, shaft and housing with a clean, soft cloth to remove residue and moisture.
5.2.2
Wash the bore scope tip and shaft with a cleaning liquid and rinse with water, then dry.
5.2.3
Gently clean the tip lens with a lens cleaner such as isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud.
DO NOT submerge the bore scope in water - the bore scope monitor is not water resistant.
NOTE: The bore scope MUST be completely dry prior to returning it to the storage case.
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted,
taken to a recycle centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way.
Follow battery removal guide 5.1 above and dispose of batteries according to local authority guidelines.
