12 Installation instructions
Observe this information when installing the appliance.
12.1 Safe installation
Follow these safety instructions when in-
stalling the appliance.
The appliance can only be used safely if it is
correctly installed according to the safety in-
structions. The installer is responsible for en-
suring that the appliance works perfectly at its
installation location.
WARNING ‒ Risk of injury!
Parts that are accessible during installation
may have sharp edges and may lead to cut-
ting injuries.
▶ Wear protective gloves
WARNING ‒ Risk of fire!
The gas hob becomes very hot, other objects
may ignite.
▶ The gas hob should be installed at dis-
tance of at least 1 m to the kitchen ceiling.
Cause and troubleshooting
Low gas pressure.
Open the gas valve fully, or replace the gas cylinder.

Burner openings are blocked.
Clean the burner openings.
▶
Gas supply contains impurities, or the ambient air is damp.
No action required.
Aging gas pipe or leaking joint.
Open windows for ventilation, then contact customer service.

Burner does not ignite.
Open windows for ventilation, then re-ignite.

11.1 Product number (E-Nr.) and production
number (FD)
You can find the product number (E-Nr.) and the pro-
duction number (FD) on the appliance's rating plate.
Make a note of your appliance's details and the Cus-
tomer Service telephone number to find them again
quickly.
WARNING ‒ Risk of explosion!
Escaping gas may cause an explosion.
▶ Only a licensed professional may connect
the appliance.
▶ Switch off the power and gas supply before
carrying out any work on the appliance.
▶ For the installation, observe the currently
valid building regulations and the regula-
tions of the local electricity and gas suppli-
ers.
▶ After connecting the appliance to the gas
supply, always check the connection for
leak tightness. The manufacturer accepts
no responsible for any gas leakage caused
by a third party due to gas installation.
Escaping gas may cause an explosion or res-
ult in poisoning.
▶ Ensure that the installation area is well vent-
ilated.
▶ Make sure that there is a door leading to
the open air or a window that can be
opened.
