Sound Quality
The PM7000 delivers 95 watts per channel
power output (8 ohms), featuring Marantz's
unique Linear Drive Power Supply (LDPS). It
operates as a constant voltage supply to
effortlessly drive even exotic high-end loud-
speakers that present difficult loads.
Uniquely developed by Marantz, the
PM7000 houses shielded, fully discrete
HDAM (High Definition Amplifier Module)
output stages, with low-noise, independent
components and short signal paths. They
result in an extremely fast slew rate and
exceptional dynamic range, preserving the
dynamic structure of music enabling even
vulnerable high frequencies to be translated
accurately.
The
PM7000
symmetrical push-pull amplifier topology
which provides maximum sonic purity and
accurate imaging. Built to audiophile-quality
standards, it incorporates premium-grade
capacitors in critical signal path applications,
strengthened rigid mechanical construction
and other refinements. The PM7000 features
a source direct switch which bypasses the
tone control circuitry for the shortest signal
path, ensuring the ultimate signal purity.
Flexibility
The award winning PM7000 has seven
source inputs including moving magnet
(MM) phono input, to accommodate a wide
variety of music sources. A Record Output
Selector function allows listening to one
source while recording another. In addition,
the
PM7000's
tape
monitor/CD-R
connections provide real-time monitoring
capability of recording quality, and a
processor loop which allows connection of
a graphic equalizer or other audio processor.
Furthermore, two sets of switchable speaker
outputs facilitate bi-wiring or multi-room
music listening and three AC convenience
outlets make it easy to hook up additional
components.
Convenience
All functions of the PM7000 can be
controlled by the supplied remote, including
volume adjustment. The
PM7000's rear-
panel D-BUS connector allows integrated
operation of a complete Marantz system.
