4.3. GENERAL FEATURES.

"STAMPEX" is an all-purpose fully automatic soap press designed to stamp:
rectangular, oval and round banded soaps
rectangular, oval and round bandless soaps
irregular specialty shapes like animals, flowers and alike
hotel size soaps of every shape
The press is supplied complete with:
♦ Cam operated lower die mandrill with 60° alternate motion rotation.
♦ Adjustable Frequency Drive motor (5,5 kW for Stampex 6 model).
Speed variation from 6 to 70 strokes/min.
♦ Electronic cams for vacuum, compressed air and the press timings
♦ Programmable Logic Controller to control and monitor all press functions.
♦ Air operated "Venturi" vacuum pump system.
♦ Safety brake.
♦ Compressed air handling group.
♦ Intermittent motion infeed conveyor driven by a 0.75 kW variable speed drive
motor.
♦ Photocell to assure positive product feed to the stamping area. The photocell is
near the slug (billet) infeed suction cup group. When soap is missing or it is not
correctly positioned, the vacuum is cut off and the infeed suction cups do not
pick up the slugs.
♦ Independently motorized discharge conveyor with 0.75 kW variable speed
drive motor and intermittent operation.
♦ In-built electric control board. Panel with push-buttons and tachometer
showing press operating speed. Upon Customer specifications, we can meet all
local electrical requirements and codes.
♦ Centralized lubrication system.
♦ Safety limit switches stop the press and the stamping motion when any cover is
opened.
♦ Vertical (on edge) billet infeed with suction-cups.
♦ Single stroke stamping action.
♦ Quick die changeover: die holders with centring seats, scouring with
compressed air of the die cooling channels.
