2.2.2 External Pump Wire Connection

An external pump may be connected to the water heater for
recirculation applications. When selecting a circulator, it shall be
sized to maintain a flow of 2-4 GPM at 15 ft (4.6 m) – 23 ft (7 m)
of head through the water heater. Follow the instructions below
when connecting the pump wire accessory to the PCB.
WARNING
Electric shock hazard
To prevent death or serious injury or property damage:
DO NOT remove the front cover unless the power to the
water heater is turned off or disconnected.
ALWAYS check the water heater is turned off before
connecting the wire to the PCB.
Configure the desired mode according to the instructions
