Transportation and storage
8.1 Transport of the Oil tester
8.1.1 The Oil tester may be transported only:
– in the transportation crate;
– by land and water transport in which the conditions of transport in terms of
exposure to climatic conditions correspond to the class C2 (IEC 870-2-2:1996).
8.2 Storage of the Oil tester
8.2.1 In terms of climatic conditions influence, the Oil tester storage condi-
tions conform to the ones of class C2 (IEC 870-2-2:1996). Storage facilities should
be exempted of any acid and other harmful impurities causing damage to the ma-
terials of the Oil tester.
8.2.2 The cell be stored in a dry place, covered and with dry insulating liq-
uid of the type in regular use in the cell.
8.2.3 Electrodes shall be stored in clean insulating liquids.
8.2.4 Reference caliber should be kept lubricated with conservation grease,
wrapped in waterproof paper.
