Dupla 80210 - CO2 Bubble Counter Instructions For Use

The CO² bubble counter has been specially developed and tested for aquaristics. Correct handling and proper use are decisive for the functional safety and reliability of the device.

Installation

  1. The CO² bubble counter enables the invisible installation of the Dupla CO² reactor in the aquarium.
  2. The CO² bubble counter is clearly visible near the aquarium, and even better when mounted at eye level. You can fix the wall console to a wooden or stone wall using the screws and dowels supplied. The arrow must point upwards. With silicone you can also stick the console to glass (aquarium). Make sure that the bracket holes remain free.
  3. The 33 mm sliding brackets can now be clamped into the mounted wall console.
  4. Then the bubble counter can be pressed into the horizontal brackets.
  5. The CO² bubble counter must be filled with water before installing it.
  6. Attach a piece of Dupla silicone hose to the outlet of the CO² bubble counter. Now dip the inlet under water and suck in the water slightly.
  7. After filling, check the seal on the built-in safe-valve.
  8. Then place the CO² bubble counter in the holder.
  9. Connect the inlet of the CO² bubble counter to the outlet of the CO² valve using a Dupla silicone hose. Don't use too little hose! Make a generous loop. Avoid pulling the hose sideways or kinking it.
  10. Now connect the outlet of the CO² bubble counter with the CO² inlet of the reactor.

  11. Push the hose far enough onto the black hose nozzles. Secure the hose using the cable ties provided.
  12. The system is now ready for operation.

For your particular attention

  • The CO² bubble counter can also be used as a water-filled air filter for air-operated systems. This is particularly advantageous in smoky rooms. If the liquid filling becomes murky, the CO² bubble counter must be cleaned and refilled.
  • For CO² operation the water filling must be changed every 2 to 3 months. At this point the CO² bubble counter should be thoroughly cleaned. Note the order in which the parts are assembled. Always make sure that the built-in safe-valve is properly seated in the holder.
  • The CO² bubble counter can also be filled with other liquid media, e.g. water with CO² indicator, glycerine, etc.
  • If the bubble outlet is irregular after some time, this is due to contamination inside the bubble former.

Remedy: Remove the safe-valve and the bubble form and clean them with a mild household cleaning agent. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water!
