    6. Installation 6.1 Appropriate installation location • Damaged products cause risks for your safety. - Prior to installation, visually check if the product has any defects on it. WARNING! - If so, do not have it installed. • Do not place the product on a floor without sufficient capacity to carry the load.

    c) After removing bolts, close the holes with plugs provided in the user manual bag. • Keep the transportation safety bolts in a safe place for reuse when the product needs to be moved again in the NOTE future. • Before moving the product, install the transportation safety bolts in reverse order of the disassembly procedure.

    a) Connect the straight end of the mains inlet hose provided with the product to the cold water tap and the warped end to the water inlet on the back of the product as shown in the figure. b) Tighten all hose nuts by hand securely. Never use a tool when tightening the nuts.

    d) To prevent the waste water to go back into the product again and to ensure easy drainage, do not immerse the end of the hose into the waste water or do not insert it into the drain for more than 15 cm. If it is too long, cut it short.

    7. Initial use 7.1 Drum cleaning • Apply drum cleaning without any laundry in the product. NOTE a) Use the Drum Cleaning programme. b) Set the temperature to the level recommended on the special drum cleaning agent package which can be provided from Authorised Service Agents.

Preparing to wash 8.1 Sorting the laundry a) Sort laundry according to type of fabric, colour, and degree of soiling and allowable water temperature. b) Follow instructions on the garment tags. c) Do not wash colours and whites together. New and dark coloured cottons may release a lot of dye.

    8.2 Preparing laundry for washing a) Remove the metal pieces such as support wire, belt buckle or metal buttons or wash the clothes by putting them in a laundry bag or pillow case. b) Take out all substances in the pockets such as coins, pens and paper clips, and turn pockets inside out before washing.

    8.4.4 Adjusting detergent amount a) The amount of washing detergent to be used depends on the amount of laundry, the degree of soiling and water hardness. b) Do not use amounts exceeding the dosage quantities recommended on the detergent package to avoid excessive foam and poor rinsing. c) Use less detergent for smaller loads, lightly soiled clothes or when using short duration programmes especially in soft water areas.

    8.4.7 Using tablet and capsule liquid detergents a) If tablet is a capsule with liquid detergent, put it directly into the drum before washing. b) Put tablet detergents into the main wash compartment or directly into the drum before washing. 8.4.8 Using softeners a) Pour the softener into the softener compartment of the detergent drawer.

    9. Programs and Auxiliary Functions 9.1 Program selection • Programmes are limited with the highest spin speed appropriate for that particular type of fabric. NOTE: • When selecting a programme, always consider the type of fabric, colour, degree of soiling and permissible water temperature.

    9.2 Programmes • You can learn the type of laundry and washing recommendations from clothing labels. NOTE: • Eko 40-60 (Eco 40-60) In the Eco 40-60 programme, you may wash normally soiled cotton laundry that are specified to be washed together at 40°C or 60°C. This programme is the standard test programme according to the EU environmentally friendly design and energy labelling regulations.
  • Page 30 • Yünlü / Elde Yıkama (Woollens / Hand Wash) Use to wash your woollen/delicate laundry. Select the appropriate temperature complying with the tag of your clothes. It washes your laundry without wearing it out with a very delicate washing motion. Prefer this program to wash your delicate curtains up to 2 kg.

    a) Select the desired auxiliary functions before starting the programme. b) The indicator LED of the selected auxiliary function lights up. • After the washing starts, you can select or cancel suitable auxiliary functions to the operating program. The machine NOTE: gives out an audible warning if it comes to a stage where an auxiliary function cannot be selected during washing.

    9.4.2 Functions/Programs Selected by Pressing Function Keys 3 • Drum Cleaning • This is not a laundry washing programme. This is a machine maintenance programme. • Do not turn this programme on when there is something CAUTION! inside the machine. The machine will automatically detect the load inside and terminate the program.

Program Settings 10.1 Temperature selection a) Whenever a new programme is selected, the recommended temperature for the programme selected appears on the temperature indicator. b) Press the Temperature Adjustment button to decrease the temperature. Temperature decreases gradually. c) Once the “Cold” option is selectable, it returns to the beginning when pressed again, and the highest temperature that can be selected according to the program enables.

    • Rinse Hold If you are not going to unload your laundry immediately after the programme completes, you can use rinse hold function to keep them in the final rinsing water in order to prevent them from getting wrinkled when there is no water in the machine.
