Warning This microscope is a scientific precision instrument designed to last for many years with a minimum of maintenance. It is built to high optical and mechanical standards and to withstand daily use. We remind you that this manual contains important information on safety and maintenance, and that it must therefore be made accessible to the instrument users. - Page 4 Overview This manual is only for fluorescence attachment. - Page 5 Unpacking The microscope is housed in a moulded Styrofoam container. Remove the tape from the edge of the container and lift the top half of the container. Take some care to avoid that the opti- cal items (objectives and eyepieces) fall out and get damaged. Using both hands (one around the arm and one around the base), lift the microscope from the container and put it on a stable desk.
- Page 6 7.1 Assembling procedure 1. Install the fluorescence attachment on the microscope body, aligning the guide under the attachment with the pin on the microscope body. 2. Tight the locking screw ① using the provided Allen wrench. (Fig. 1) ① F ig. 1 ig.

Use of the microscope HBO bulb switch on 1. Turn on the power supply using the main switch. Wait until the current display shows about 4,5A. (Fig. 9). If the current falls below 4 A, replace the lamp. You should now wait for at least 10 minu- tes before aligning and using the bulb. -

- Page 16 Disimballaggio Il microscopio si trova in un imballaggio di polistirolo espanso stampato. Dopo aver tolto il nastro ade- sivo da tutti gli imballi, sollevare la metà superiore dell’imballaggio. Fare attenzione a non far cade- re o danneggiare i componenti ottici (obiettivi e oculari). Estrarre il microscopio dal suo imballaggio con entrambe le mani (una intorno al braccio e una intorno alla base) e appoggiarlo su un piano stabile.

Montare l’illuminatore per fluorescenza sul corpo del microscopio allineando l’intaglio posto nella parte inferiore della coda di rondine con il piedi- no di montaggio posto sul corpo del microscopio. 2. Serrare la vite di fissaggio ① utilizzando la bru- gola in dotazione.
