The values for magnification and working distance marked on the loupes refer to normally-sighted or optically-corrected eyes ignoring accommodation. These values can vary depending on refractive error and accommodation. In general, if the examiner is short-sighted or tends to accommodate the actual working distance will be shorter. If long-sighted, it will be longer. If the working distance is shorter, the magnification will be stronger and vice versa.
Before using your HEINE HR®/HRP®/HR-C® Binocular Loupes read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
Range of applications: HEINE HR® Loupes are designed only for optical magnification during examinations and operations.
Safety in use: Do not look directly at the sun or into a powerful light source with the loupes to avoid the possibility of eye damage.
The angle of convergence of the eyepieces was set by the manufacturer (4). Do not alter this setting. This may only be adjusted by HEINE at the factory.
How to fit HEINE binocular loupes with HEINE i-View® to the HEINE S-Frame®:
The HEINE i-View® allows you to select the angle of view of the loupes individually. This is done by means of a triple link system (5,6,7).
Swivelling the loupes:
The HEINE i-View® can be swivelled by hand as shown above. To do so, attach a steri-lever to one end of the optics mount. The loupes can be moved out of the line of sight by rotating the lever. This allows you to view the object without magnification and avoids the need to re-adjust the light.
How to fit HEINE binocular loupes with HEINE i-View® to the Professional L Headband with S-Guard splash protection
Unscrew the fixing screw (8) and the S-Guard can be moved vertically and horizontally. Fix the loupes with the fixing screw (8) as shown in Fig. in the desired position.

Professional Headband: Circumference and height can be adjusted by means of the two controls.
MD 1000 F.O. and 3S LED HeadLight: Attach the HEINE binocular loupes by means of the loupe adaptor or HEINE S-Guard® to the HeadLight. To do so, please consult the instructions supplied with the HEINE S-Guard®
