  • Page 7: Setting Up Your Printer

    Setting up your printer Unpack the printer. Your power supply may be different than the one shown. Connect the power supply. You are prompted to connect the USB cable during software installation. Unlock the scanner bed. Press the Power button. Apply an overlay (in another language) to the operator panel, if desired.
  • Page 8 Raise the paper support. Squeeze and slide the paper guide to the left edge of the paper. Load the paper. Do not push the paper down into the printer. Extend the paper exit tray.
  • Page 9 Open the cartridge door. The cartridge carrier moves to the load position. Place the cartridges into the carrier. Push back on the cartridges until they snap into place. SNAP Remove the sticker and transparent tape from the cartridges. Warning: Do not touch the gold contacts.
  • Page 10 Close the cartridge door. Click Install Now for Windows installation. Follow the instructions on your computer screen to install the printer software, scanner driver, and printer driver. To install additional software, insert your CD and click the button on your computer screen.

    Printing Windows From your software application File menu, select Print. To change the printer settings, click Properties or Printer Preferences. From the Print dialog box, click OK or Print (depending on the application). Macintosh From your software application File menu, choose Print... Change settings, as needed, and then choose Save Settings.
