5. Remove the retainer from the failing diskette drive and install it on the new

6. Slide the new diskette drive into the drive bay until it snaps into position.
7. Connect the signal cable and the power cable to the new diskette drive.
8. Reinstall the front bezel.
9. Go to "Completing the parts replacement" on page 44.

2. Lay the computer on its side.
3. Disconnect the power supply assembly cables from the system board and
from all drives. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 11.
