If you think the refrigerator
is in trouble, ...
Frequently asked questions at the beginning of use or in summer
The refrigerator does not cool at all!
At the beginning, it takes time to cool down. It may take up to
24 hours as a guideline to cool down sufficiently in summer.
Are the display lamps on the operation panel blinking?
Demonstration operation:
Did you put the power plug correctly into the
power outlet? Is the circuit breaker not tripped?
The outer walls heat up!
Immediately after installation or during
summer time, the outside temperature may
become high (approximately 50 to 60°C).
It is because the refrigerator is attached
with heat release / anti-condensation pipe
on the sides and ceiling. These are
necessary for cooling and are not
considered as abnormal.

Check the following
See if the selected temperature control mode for the
compartment that is not cooling enough is "L".
Have you just begun using the unit?
Have you impeded heat ventilation due to no space
around the refrigerator, placed it in direct sunlight,
etc.?
Anything obstructing the cool air flow? Or is the
door being opened frequently or left ajar?
Have you just begun using the unit?
Are the water supply pump and pipe set properly in
the water tank?
Is the water supply pipe set properly in the tank
holder?
Have you left food or the ice server laying in the ice
storage bin?
Is the ice making compartment set to " STOP"?
Is the ice making compartment set to "CRL "?
Is there enough water in the water tank? Is the
refrigerator tilted?
See if "H" is selected for the temperature control
mode.
Have you placed items with high water content in
the back of the unit?
Is surrounding air temperature less than 5ºC?
Has the temperature just been adjusted or have you
just begun using the unit?
Are the items on top packed too tightly?
Is hot foodstuff in contact with the frozen foods?
Have you pressed the [SUPERCOOL] button after
placing the hot food?
Do you not preserve ice cream or frozen foods in
the "FRZ, L" or "FRZ, M" mode?
About use and setting
The control panel is extinguished!
The display illumination will extinguish
after 30 seconds if no button is pressed for
energy saving purpose and it is not an
abnormal phenomenon.
You are concerned by strong
odors from food or ice!
Do you clean the water supply tank once
every week?

Have you placed any items with strong
odors inside the unit without covering
them with plastic wrap?
Solutions and reasons
Change setting to "M" or "H".
It sometimes takes 4-5 hours for unit to cool and up to
24 hours for ice to make in the summer.
Check that installation was properly executed.
Check that the unit is not excessively packed with food
items and that the doors are not ajar.

In particular, check that the outlet of the pipe in the
tank is securely installed to the tank.

Assume that there is sufficient ice in the storage bin.
Remove foods, etc. from the storage bin. Level out
the ice evenly in the storage bin.
Select either "REG", "QCK" or "CRL" mode.
"CRL" takes longer time to be made than usual ice.
(approx 5-8 hours)
Sometimes there are few pieces of ice in a batch.
Change setting to "M". Keep in mind that temperature
temporarily drops during "QUICK" mode.
Please place water-containing foods, such as tofu,
vegetables and fruits, and beverages at the front side.
Set refrigerator compartment and vegetable
compartment to "L" to prevent freezing.
It takes some time for the unit to cool. Wait at least 30 minutes
before placing foods in the versa compartment or use fast cooling.
Place the food items so that the cool airflow can flow above the items.
Frozen food may melt when it comes into contact with hot foods.
Press the [SUPERCOOL] button when you place hot foods.
The food temperature comes down quickly.
Set the temperature control to "FRZ, H".
