Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimise the risk of injury we urge that our clients
take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation instruc-
tions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Safety instructions
When using the spring tensioner, basic safety precautions should always be taken to reduce
the risk of injury and/or damage to the unit.
Do not make any modifications to the spring compressor and use it only for its intended purpose.
Improper tampering may result in property damage or injury.
Familiarise yourself with the spring compressor before use. Read the instructions and notes
attached to the spring compressor carefully. Familiarise yourself with its application possibilities
and limitations as well as the possible dangers associated with the device.
Keep children and unauthorised persons away from your work area. All bystanders should be
at a safe distance from the unit.
Remain vigilant and always use the spring compressor with care and caution.
Never leave the spring compressor unattended during use.
Check the spring compressor before each use. Do not use it with bent, broken, cracked, leaking,
or otherwise damaged parts. Repairs to the spring tensioner should only be carried out by qual-
ified persons using original spare parts to prevent damage to property and injury.
Warning!
The spring compressor should be mounted and operated on a level and stable sur-
face. It must never be used on soft ground, as it could sink in there during operation.
Keep your work area clean, tidy, and free of foreign substances. Also ensure adequate lighting
of the workplace.
Do not allow untrained persons to operate the spring compressor.
Do not use the compressor when under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine.
Warning!
Do not attempt to tension a load greater than that for which the spring tensioner is
designed. The maximum load capacity is 1 ton.
Never stand on the spring tensioner and do not use it as a ladder substitute.
Keep your hands away from the moving parts.
Always wear appropriate protective equipment during use, e.g., safety goggles, work shoes,
safety gloves, etc.
Always be alert, especially during repetitive activities. Do not give in to a false sense of security.
Make sure to stand securely and keep your balance. Do not overreach and wear non-slip foot-
wear.
The spring compressor must be securely screwed to the workshop floor. Use suitable fastening
screws for this (not included in the scope of delivery).
