Problems and Possible Solutions
Problem
The status light on the
base is orange and it is
performing a firmware
download.

Before you call Intermec Product Support, make sure you have the
following information:
SD62 firmware version
SD62 sub-system version
There are two ways to find the firmware version and sub-system
version of your SD62.
Using a connected scanner to read Get version bar codes
Using EasySet in online setup mode
To get version information by reading bar codes
1 Connect your SD62 to the host (see
Device" on page
2 Connect an Intermec scanner to the SD62 (see
Intermec Scanner to the SD62" on page
3 Run an application that can accept bar code information from
your SD62 (e.g., Microsoft® Notepad).
Possible Solution
The base is stuck in firmware download mode
(e.g., scanner firmware download was
interrupted or there was an error). Unplug the
base station power supply then plug it back in
to restart the base station.
