The Snap Server
These instructions explain how to replace an Ethernet card on the Snap Server.
Replacement Part Inventory
Before you begin, make sure you have the following items from the package
containing the replacement Ethernet card:
• The Ethernet card in an anti-static bag
Tools Required
• Phillips screwdriver
• Motherboard extraction tool
Overview of the Procedure
To remove and replace the Ethernet card, you perform the following tasks:
• Shut down the server and disconnect the power cords and Ethernet cable(s)
• Remove the motherboard tray assembly
• Remove the old Ethernet card from the motherboard
• Install the new Ethernet card on the motherboard
• Insert the motherboard tray assembly
• Restart the server
Shutting Down the Server
Shut down the server.
