Finding your phone's serial
number
To activate your Virgin Mobile account, you
need your phone's serial number. To locate
the number:
Make sure your phone is turned off.

Hold the phone face

down.
Toward the bottom of the

phone there is a recess to
aid you in opening the
battery door. Use your
fingernail to pull the battery door away.
If necessary, remove the battery by pulling

back on the top edge of the battery.
Your phone's serial number (the ESN) is

located just below the first barcode inside the
phone, next to the letter "D." It is an 11-digit
number.
Write down the ESN.

Replace the battery (see "Installing the

battery" on this page).

Installing the battery

Your Kyocera OYSTR phone comes with a
removable lithium ion (LiIon) battery.
charge the battery before using the phone.
To install the battery:
Hold the phone face

Place the battery in the

phone casing with the
metal contacts toward the
bottom of the phone.
Place the battery door
