Skill requirement guidelines

This device should be installed by a person with a good knowledge
of electrical installation. If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician. Read
the instruction manual carefully before installing the device and keep
the manual for later reference.

Placement

Never place the twilight switch so that it is
exposed to the light source it is connected
to or other sources of artificial light.

Installation

1. Always turn off the power before
beginning the installation.
2. Removethe cover's retaining screws and
remove the cover.
3. Draw in the power input/output leads
from the back or through the rubber
grommets at the bottom.
4. Screw the box in place in a suitable
location. Note that the twilight switch
must be mounted with the arrow on
the cover pointing upwards.
5. Connect the wires as follows:
- Input Neutral wire to the terminal marked N
- Neutral to load N
- Live to load L
- Input Live wire to L
Any protective earth wires in the cables can be joined using a wire
connector (not included).

Use/setting

The twilight switch can be used in conjunction with the timer function.
The timer function allows for extra energy savings. If the timer function is not
used the twilight switch will turn on/off according to its set light sensitivity:
The timer function limits the time that the load/light will stay on after dark.

Daylight-controlled on/off operation

Use a small screwdriver to set the switch.
1. Set the desired light sensitivity by adjusting the knob marked LUX.
- In the 500 lux (day) position, the connected load will even come on
in daylight.
- In the 3 lux (night) position the load will only come on at night.
2. Twilight light is usually 3–30 lux. However, it is possible to set
the twilight switch more accurately. The best way is to set the light
sensitivity at the exact time you want the switch to operate.
- Turn the LUX knob to the min setting 3 lux (night) and then back
towards 500 lux (day) until the indicator light shines red. After about
1 minute the connected load will be switched on.

controlled activation time
Set the desired light sensitivity as directed above. The timer limits the time
the load is switched on from the time the sensitivity setting has activated
the load.
1. Set the knob marked TIME to the desired number of hours.
2. When the power is turned on, the load and the twilight switch's light
indicator will flash 3 times.
3. After the setting has been made and the red indicator lamp is lit,
the switch will take 60 seconds to react.
- If the switch is set to Dusk to Dawn, the load device will be activated
according to the LUX setting but will not be controlled by the timer.
