Install the printer and scanner driver.
CAUTION
Do not connect the Interface cable to your magi-
color 2480 MF until instructed to do so.
The instructions for the Windows operating system
are described below.
1. Insert the magicolor 2480 MF Utilities & Documen-
tation CD-ROM in the CD-ROM/DVD drive of your
PC.
2. The CD-ROM Installer automatically starts.
CAUTION
• If the Installer doesn't automatically start, use
Windows Explorer to browse the CD-ROM and
double-click setup.exe.
• Do not use the 'Add Printer' wizard to install the
magicolor 2480 MF drivers.
• When using Windows 2000 or XP, the drivers
must be installed by a user logged on with
Administrator privileges.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Notes:
After the scanner driver has been correctly installed,
installation of the printer driver begins.
4. When instructed to do so, connect your magicolor
2480 MF to your computer with a USB cable as
shown below.

5. When the drivers are installed, remove the CD-
ROM and store it in a safe place.

Configure the printer driver.
(Windows XP/Server 2003):
From the Windows menu bar, select start - Printers
and Faxes. Right- click the KONICA MINOLTA magi-
color 2480MF printer icon. Select Properties - Print-
ing Preferences - Paper tab.
(Windows 2000):
From the Windows menu bar, select Start - Settings -
Printers. Right- click the KONICA MINOLTA magi-
color 2480MF printer icon. Select Properties - Print-
ing Preferences - Paper tab.
(Windows Me/98SE):
From the Windows menu bar, select Start - Settings -
Printers. Right- click the KONICA MINOLTA magi-
color 2480MF printer icon. Select Properties -
Printer Properties - Paper tab.
1. Select the printer defaults you use, like the media
size, the orientation of your media, etc.
2. Click Apply.
3. Click OK and close all subsequent windows.

Set the date and time at the control panel.
1. Press Menu Select key.
2. Press +/- keys to display INITIAL USER DATA.
3. Press Menu Select key to enter INITIAL USER
DATA menu.
4. Press Menu Select key to enter 1 DATE & TIME
menu.
5. Set the date and time, and press Menu Select key.
6. Press Menu Select key to enter INITIAL USER
DATA menu.
7. Press +/- keys to display 2 DATE FORMAT.
8. Press Menu Select key to enter 2 DATE FORMAT
menu.
9. Select the desired format, and press Menu Select
key.
