Troubleshooting
Phone
Problem
System is not able to receive and
make calls after being paired.
The device cannot be connected.
Caller's voice sounds distorted or
is intermittent.
Caller reports poor voice quality
at remote end.
Difficulties with pairing and
connecting with a device during
another Bluetooth operation such
as audio streaming.
There is no sound output during
conversation.
The unit display is frozen at call
conversation, after the phone call
has ended.
Bluetooth is connected but
unable to make calls.

Cause
Bluetooth connection is not
established yet.
The unit will take several
seconds to establish the
connection after pairing.
Some devices will not connect
automatically after pairing.
The device pairing information
may have been deleted from
the unit.
The relevant profile is not
selected on the device.
Volume is too loud (depends on
the car environment, speakers
and microphone) and half-duplex
mode is automatically triggered.
This is due to excessive
Bluetooth activity on a low
bandwidth link. This may result
in difficulties with pairing and
connecting.
Bluetooth communication link
is lost.
The unit received an incorrect
response from the device.
Handsfree (HFP) may not be
connected.
Measure
Use the device to connect
manually or enter Phone mode
and manually reconnect to the
last connected device.
Power off the unit and pair the
device again after deleting it from
Phone mode.
If the problem persists, try
turning off the power on the
device and perform a new pairing
operation.
Consult the nearest service
centre regarding device
compatibility.
Perform the measures above.
When selecting available profiles,
select a profile with the hands-
free feature. Otherwise, pair the
device again after deleting it from
Phone mode.
Try reducing the telephone
volume level.
Disconnect all devices. Try
pairing with the device, and
connecting manually later.
Disconnect and reconnect the
device.
If the problem persists, pair the
device again after deleting it from
Phone mode.
Turn off the power of the device,
then turn it on again.
Make sure Handsfree (HFP)
is connected by checking the
display indication.
Connect HFP from the device
if allowed; otherwise try
disconnecting and reconnecting
the device again.
