Solution
Change the setting to " On".
Press the handle down firmly to lock the vacuum compartment.
If the handle is not secure, a vacuum state cannot be achieved. Push
the vacuum compartment all the way in, and then press the handle
down firmly to lock the compartment.
Install the vacuum compartment so
that the tabs on the gasket aligns
with the holes in the compartment.
Ensure the gasket is
securely in its retainer,
with no raised parts.

Remove any packaging material of foods or other things which are
caught in.
If the gasket is dirty, clean it.
If a part of the gasket is stuck together, the vacuum compartment
will not be able to maintain a vacuum state.
If there is a part stuck together, peel such part off.
Since it is difficult to see the left and right side faces and the
bottom, such part shall be confirmed with removing the vacuum
compartment.
If the gasket is dirty, clean it.
After you close the refrigerator doors and the vacuum pump starts
up, it takes about 3 to 4 minutes to achieve a vacuum state. Wait at
least 4 minutes before opening the vacuum compartment.
If the vacuum function is working properly, when you open the
vacuum compartment, you should hear a hissing sound as air
enters the compartment.
Ensure nothing is caught in the gasket or in the receptacle.
Install the vacuum compartment in accordance with the procedure
described in "HOW TO REMOVE/INSTALL PARTS".
This sound is made by the vacuum pump when it is running.
If you are bothered by the sound (for example, at night), you can
stop the pump from running by changing the "Vacuum" setting to
"Off".
The refrigerator regularly vibrates and emits sounds. Ensure nothing
is caught in the vacuum compartment receptacle and that the
gasket is clean.
Press the handle down firmly to lock the vacuum compartment.
The vacuum compartment is tightly sealed. As such, the water
content in foods and moisture in the air might form frost or
condensation inside the compartment. If this happens, wet a
dishcloth in warm water and wipe away the frost or condensation.
In addition, we recommend that you wrap foods high in water
content before storing them in this compartment.
