BED RESTRAINTS
DESCRIPTION
Mechanical or physic restraints are an exceptional therapeutic measure to partially or generally immobilize most of patient's body in question. In this way, the product provides
safety to the patient and to the rest of the people who surrounds him. This product infringes the autonomy right of patients (the patient's freedom is restricted) which entails
a fundamental protection and constitutional right restriction of people suffering from body operations. In this way, this product is only recommended due to the failure of other
alternatives.
INDICATIONS
- Imminent damage prevention of the patient if other measures (verbal or pharmacological contention) have failed.
- Prevention of surrounding damages (family, patients, health professionals, facilities...).
- The prescribed treatment is completely ensured when this one is associated with aggressive behaviours.
- Contingency in the behavioural therapy of dangerous behaviours.
- Geriatric and psychic disabled patients.
- Others:
•Minimal reduction of treatment during the observation of delirium and psychotic patients.
•Psychotic attacks in pregnant women.
•Damage prevention during urgent treatments.
•Aggression and self-mutilation prevention in case of mental disabled patients.

CLASSIFICATION
UBIOTEX BED RESTRAINTS are considered a type I medical device (rule 1). The conformity evaluation was carried out by following the indications in Annex VII (Declaration CE
of Conformity) of the Directive 93/42/CEE and the Directive 2007/47. In accordance with Annex IX of the Directive 93/42/CEE and its subsequent modifications, the health product
is defined as:

MODELS
1.- ABDOMINAL OR PERINEAL BED RESTRAINTS
Three qualities are available depending on the use and washing of the fastening systems. The function of all of them is to prevent the patient from getting out of bed, but allowing
him a good mobility so that he does not feel immobility: it allows to raise the trunk, and to move freely the leg, as well as to turn in the bed to right and left , But without protruding
from it or falling.
1.- Polypropylene. Composition: 100% polypropylene, metallic hooks, closure system (magnet, ironclip or buckle). Polypropylene bias.
2.- Padded. Composition: Imitation suede, velour and foam. Reinforced polypropylene fabric, metallic hooks, closure system (magnet, ironclip or buckle).
