It
may
be a good
plan
for
a beginner
to
practise
on
a
piea:e
of
a
material
without
needle
or
thread
in
the
machine,
be-
fore
starting
to sew.
Place
a
piece
of
material
underneath
the
presser
foot, which
should be
let
down
caref
ully,
and
start the
machine
with a
slight
pressure
against
the
knee-
lever.

guide

will
